In addition to our championship golf course, O’Bannon Creek offers its members and guests, a state-of-the-art practice facility. Golfers of all abilities can work on both their long and short game on one of the finest practice facilities in the area. Over an acre of bent grass teeing area is available for full shot practice.
O’Bannon Creek uses Titleist Practice Balls exclusively on the driving range. For bunker practice, a sand bunker offers the player a chance to practice both fairway and greenside bunker shots. The 20,000 square foot putting green and surrounding chipping and pitching areas afford the player the opportunity to practice all the short game shots imaginable. An additional green is available for putting only. The practice facility offers an exceptional experience for golf instruction and custom club fitting.
Golf Instruction
Individual Private Lessons
One-on-One Instruction with Marianne Utz Sahms, PGA or Kerry Sahms, PGA. Emphasis is placed on proper fundamentals of the golf swing to include the proper grip, posture, alignment, swing path and swing plane.
Group Lessons
A short presentation on the principles of the golf swing followed by individual instruction. A small number of students allows for increased individual attention from the Golf Professionals.
Playing Lessons
Play with and receive actual on course instruction from Marianne or Kerry. The emphasis will be placed on course management as well as technique.
